Logistics Support, Incorporated (LSInc) Awarded $28.7 Million Prime Contract To Provide Inventory and Material Management Support to the U.S. Navy and Other DoD Agencies

Washington D. C. - 26 February 2010 - Logistics Support, Incorporated (LSInc) announced that it has been awarded a $28.7 Million prime contract by the U.S. Navy to provide Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection (AT/FP) Inventory and Material Management support to the U.S. Navy and other DoD Agencies.

This support includes warehousing, and a full range of supply chain management support for AT/FP and related gear. Under this contract, LSInc will provide AT/FP planning and acquisition support, and specifically will operate and manage an Armor Inspection System (AIS) to detect mission compromising damage in ceramic ballistic inserts, and provide services for the refurbishment of body armor systems and combat helmets.

Using a process developed by the LSInc Team for inspection and refurbishment, over 9,000 outer tactical vests have been returned to issuable inventory since June 2008 - instead of disposal. This process will continue to aggregate tremendous cost savings to the Government under this new contract.
